Brenna Woods Hi there! Welcome to my art page. I am thrilled you stopped to look at my art! Why am I thrilled? After a 25 year hiatus I started to draw & paint again; in ink no less. My creativity has woken and I am grateful. Growing up in a creative family, educated in architecture and interior design, my creativity started at a young age with house drawings and color theory. My appreciation and love for fine art and design progressed through middle and high school and developed even more when I attended college at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York city, and the Art Institute of Seattle, majoring in design and marketing. During 2020, COVID-19 time of isolation, I was introduced to a Zentangle class, a new technique of drawing to me, from a friend who wanted to teach via a virtual class. I enjoyed the classes so much I started to see the shapes and styles of drawings (called tangles) in nature. I started to incorporate these tangles into my Zentangle inspired creations I call Zenefflorecence; Zen - peaceful and calm + Efflorescence - the action or process of developing and unfolding as if coming into flower. I am inspired and creating more. So, more to come.
